Dance/Movement Therapy

Asia is a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) through the American Dance Therapy Association as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she studied Clinical Mental Health Counseling, while also completing coursework in Dance/Movement Therapy through the Harkness Dance Center in New York. Asia completed a year-long Dance/Movement Therapy internship with children and adolescence at the Regional Institute of Children and Adolescence in Rockville, Maryland. Additionally, she has led therapeutic movement groups in various clinical and community settings. Asia believes that the body is the ultimate truth teller and that through it’s exploration, we can truly be liberated, healed and complete.
